We were in charge of designing the cover art and billboard for artist Utada Hikaru’s songs “Forevermore” and “Anata”.
Utada Hikaru is arguably Japan’s most influential female artist, whose debut album “First Love” became the best selling Japanese-language album of all time. The artist has received international praise, with her recent album “Fantôme” released in 2016 hitting the digital album charts in 31 countries.
The song “Forevermore” for which we designed the cover art, was released exclusively online in July and has been used as the theme song for the TBS series “Gomen, Aishiteru”. The cover art has been used in outdoor advertisements as well as posters and has appeared through August and September at some of Tokyo’s most visited sights, including Spanish Hill / Shibuya, Ginza, and Akasaka.
We also designed the digital cover art for the single “Anata”, released digitally on December 8. The song has received significant attention from being used as the theme song for the movie “Destiny: The Tale of Kamakura” as well as appearing in the commercial for SONY’s “Noi-Can, Wireless”.
The songs are available now on all major music distribution services including iTunes, Recochoku, and mora.

この度 artless Inc. はアーティスト・宇多田ヒカルの楽曲 ”Forevermore” 及び ”あなた” の配信用ジャケットデザインならびにビルボード広告デザインを担当いたしました。
宇多田ヒカルは日本を代表する女性アーティストで、デビューアルバム ”First Love” が日本国内の歴代アルバムセールス １位を記録したほか、昨年2016年に発表したアルバム ”Fantôme” は各配信サイトにおいて日本を含む世界31か国でランクインするなど、その実力は国内外から高く評価されています。
artless Inc. がジャケットデザインを手がけた楽曲 ”Forevermore” は今年7月にネット配信限定でリリースされ、TBS系日曜劇場「ごめん、愛してる」の主題歌にも起用されました。このジャケットデザインは屋外広告及びポスターとしても使用され、今年8月から9月にかけて、渋谷スペイン坂や銀座、赤坂をはじめとする都内各所に掲出されました。
また最新シングル ”あなた” についても artless Inc. が配信用ジャケットをデザインしました。映画「DESTINY 鎌倉ものがたり」主題歌／ソニー「ノイキャン・ワイヤレス」CMソングである本楽曲は多くの注目を集め、12月8日にネット配信限定でリリースされました。
