We were in charge of the branding; logo design, visual identity, and signage design, for “Hakone Retreat”; a pair of exclusive retreats located in Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park.

Situated in the lush mountains of the national park, “Hakone Retreat” provides two distinct experiences within its 55,000 square meter site. “Hakone Retreat Villa 1/f” provides a serene and premier experience with its independent villas and private hot-springs. Meanwhile, the modern architecture and Nordic stylings of “hakone retreat före” provides a more communal experience.

We created two sets of visual identities that work together as one unified identity. To create contrast between the two unique experiences, an elegant and classical font is used for “Villa”, while a modern, architecture-inspired font is used for “före”. Likewise, for printed materials and amenities an elegant white paper stock was chosen for “Villa”, contrasting with the grey paper utilized for “före”. As a cohesive element, the key green color inspired by the surrounding forest is shared between the identities. The signage strategically placed throughout guide guests around the site while existing in harmony with the surrounding scenery.

artless Inc.は、ホテルコンサルティング会社 温故知新 とともに箱根にあるリゾートホテル「Hakone Retreat／箱根リトリート」のブランディング（ネーミング、ロゴ、V.I.、グラフィックデザイン、パッケージ、アメニティ、サイン計画）を行っています。

全室に露天風呂が備えられている、完全独立のヴィラスタイルでゆとりある時間を過ごせる「Hakone Retreat Villa 1/f」と、北欧リゾートを感じさせるシンプルモダンな空間でコミューナルな体験ができる「hakone retreat före」。箱根の緑豊かな55,000平米の敷地内にある「Hakone Retreat」は、2つの異なる宿泊体験を提供しています。

「Hakone Retreat Villa 1/f」では上品で格式のある書体を使用し、「hakone retreat före」ではモダン建築を意識した書体を使用するなど、2つの異なる体験を表現しながらも共通のデザインコードを活用することで「Hakone Retreat」としてひとつの統一したブランドイメージの構築を図っています。印刷物においては「Villa」では上品な白紙、「före」ではグレーの紙を使用し、互いのコントラストを演出しながらも、周囲の森からサンプリングしたキーカラーであるグリーンを共通で使用。二つの体験が織りなすひとつのブランドとしての一体感を表現しています。国立公園内の敷地に点在するサイネージでは、動線を明快にしながらも自然との調和を大切にしたデザインを目指しています。

都会の喧騒を忘れさせる広大な森に包まれた「箱根リトリート」、のんびり贅沢なおこもりステイや小グループでのギャザリングなど、ゲストの目的に合わせた様々な滞在をお楽しみいただけます。萌えるような新緑、印象画のような紅葉、うっすらと白いベールをまとった冬など、訪れる度に異なる自然が織りなす情景に息をのみ、あっという間に溶け込んでいるご自身を発見できる、そんな場所です。

レンタサイクルで美術館を訪れたり、ウッドバーニングオーブンからの出来立てお料理とワインで会話を弾ませたり、焼きたてパンとオリジナルブレンドのコーヒーを楽しむ寛ぎのスタイルなど、気の知れたご友人同士、ご家族やグループで、ゆったりと「スモールギャザリング」をお楽しみいただけます。
